Five years ago today my brother passed away. Five days after Thanksgiving. Two days after I returned to school. Twenty-two days before Christmas. Seventy-five days before his birthday.
This day is still incredibly painful to get through. A flood of memories, emotions, and all the feels in the world. I feel like I am transported back to the moment I heard the news.
Hug your loved ones. Tell them you love them. Tell them how much they mean to you. Hug them again. You honestly never know when they’ll be taken away.
