This past week was filled with delicious treats and eats as well as a few concerts and lovely best friend hangz. Essentially, I spent a lot of time out and about and hanging out with fabulous people. #YOLO … I’m sorry, I’m embarrassed I just typed that out, but apparently not embarrassed enough to delete it.

I have a hard time saying ‘No!’ when there is a carb involved. So according to these pictures, I was very much in a YES mentality to all da foods carbs. Again, no shame.

So here I am, linking up with other wonderful bloggers for another edition of What I Ate Wednesday.

These photos are in no particular order.

Saturday night, Lindsay and I went on a best friend lady date. Roughly 98% of the time we get together, we go out for sushi. Clearly, Saturday night was no exception. We followed up our sushi binge with a trip the discount movie theater for a showing of the Hunger Games – Catching Fire. It was just as amazing the second time.

Saturday morning I met up with Katie for our weekly long run. Luckily, we only had seven miles on the books since we are beginning to taper for the Rock ‘n’ Roll USA Half Marathon that’s coming up in about a week and a half. The easiest way to get me out the door for a long run is to mention the possibility of brunch afterwards. Biscuits and gravy with eggs and hashbrowns … how I adore thee.

A week or two ago, Chris and I were grocery shopping and I had a major craving for pulled pork. We ended up buying the smallest pork shoulder we could find … a whopping seven pounds. I had Chris cut the beast in half and made the pulled pork on Sunday while waiting for the snow to start. I decided to whip up some macaroni and cheese as a side dish. On Monday, I combined the two for one of the yummiest lunches I’ve had in a while.

More barbecue. My eyes were bigger than my stomach during this event but this is definitely the best barbecue in the DC area. So.freaking.delicious. I think I was channeling summer last week due to all the barbecue. It’s been an unusually cold winter so having some really tasty BBQ has felt like such a treat.

Last night Jenny and I went to see Bear Hands at DC9.  We treated ourselves to Burger Tap Shake (the best burgers in DC) before heading over the show. The combination of the pickles and the cheese and their house sauce and the bun … soooo good.

As you can see, the food this past week has been crazy delicious. Now I am focusing on returning to a more normal (read: boring)  way of eating  since my social calendar is calming down a bit.

PS – I am very sorry if this post has caused you to drool all over your keyboard.
